INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSION FOR SEPTEMBER 2025 INTAKE

Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo (UMPO) invites prospective International Students to pursue bachelor at UMPO through Scholarship scheme. We also offer a scholarship program for foreign students that covers tuition fees and also provides dormitories. These following study programs are open for foreign students:

k. Law Science
l. Electrical Engineering

Timeline for Internasional Students
Registration: 1 January - 25 April 2025
Administrative selection: 31 April - 5 May 2025
Interview: 6 May 2025
Acceptance: 9 May 2025
Applying visa (for student): May 2025 - June 2025
Students arrive at UMPO: June-July 2025
Contract signing : July 2025
Program Starts : August 2025

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:

1. Non-Indonesian citizens
2. Should have strong motivation to take study at UMPO
3. Under 30 years of age at the time of application
4. Passed the interview test
5. Not have hold refugee status
6. Not have been convicted of felony or significant criminals which caused the applicant to be prisoned
7. Complete all the required documents

Document Requirements
The following documents are required for student admission:

1. Recent formal photograph (JPG or PNG max. 300 KB)
2. Colour scan of valid passport having at least 18 months of validity (cover page & identity page), if it is available.
3. Certificate of graduation from the latest education institution (in English or Indonesian language)
4. Academic transcripts from the latest education institution (in English or Indonesian language)

Documents for Re-registration

1. Colour scan of valid passport having at least 18 months of validity (cover page & identity page)
2. Recent health certificate (in English or Indonesian language)
3. Curriculum Vitae (free form)
4. Indonesian language proficiency (strongly preferred)
5. English language proficiency (if any)
6. Letter of recommendation #1, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor (for master program)
7. Letter of recommendation #2, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor (for master program)

All documents must be uploaded via online application form.

HOW TO APPLY

1. Applicants submit their applications via email: pmb@umpo.ac.id
2. Applicants learn and look for the study program that fits their interest. List of available programs and the curriculum/courses can be checked at pmb.umpo.ac.id
3. Administrative selection will be conducted by the admission committee.
4. Candidates who pass the administrative selection are eligible for the next selection stages.
5. The initial interview will be conducted.
6. The last stage is final interview by UMPO New Student Admission.
7. Student Candidates will be notified by email or WhatsApp, along with the Letter of Acceptance.
8. Student candidates send confirmation to study at UMPO.
9. UMPO applies for study permit and student visa.
10. Admitted students come to UMPO after receiving notification succeed from UMPO.
